Man suffers life-threatening injuries in early morning accident

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

A man is in a Columbus hospital this afternoon being treated for life-threatening injuries.

Columbus police say that man was driving a Lexus SUV Friday morning when it rolled over. The accident happened around 7:30 on Forrest Road at Lamore Drive.

Officers say excessive speed and erratic driving may have led to the crash. They tell us the driver was found outside the SUV and suffered a head injury.

At this time, he is being treated at Midtown Medical Center.

The accident remains under investigation.

Larry Dean Mallory, 58, was last seen Wednesday, June 13, leaving his residence on Mallory Drive in LaGrange. He was driving a Chevrolet truck with a Georgia tag.     An ATM burglary was reported at a business in LaGrange Monday morning. The burglary happened at the Alpha Smoke Shop located on Bull Street. Police responded to the burglary report at 8:05 a.m. According to police, an undisclosed amount was stolen from the machine.
