SUV runs into Savannah home

Posted: Updated:
SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

A wreck on Savannah's East Side sent three people to the hospital Sunday night.

It happened at about 8:15 p.m. near the intersection of Harmon and Henry streets. An SUV ran into a home at the intersection, and a sedan crashed into a power pole in the home's yard.

Two loud bangs sent neighbors rushing out of their homes.

"By the time we got down here, one person was already on the curb," said Andrew Hubbard, who lives two doors down from the wreck.

"There were two other people sitting inside the car not moving so we were a little worried about them," he explained.

The home appears to have sustained only minor damage to the front porch.

Police continue to investigate the cause of the wreck and have not released the conditions or names of the three people involved at this time.
