(WTVM) -

For the fourth year in a row, the State of Georgia's Path2College 529 Plan is offering a statewide Newborn Sweepstakes where one baby born in Georgia in 2014 will receive $5,529 toward his or her college savings.

The hospital where the baby is born will also receive $1,529.

Qualifying parents, grandparents and guardians of Georgia babies born in 2014 have  until April 14, 2015, to enter for a chance to win the Newborn Sweepstakes.

"No matter how young or old—it's never too early or too late to save," said Mitch Seabaugh, executive director of the Path2College 529 Plan.  "We hope that when new parents and grandparents go online to enter the Newborn Sweepstakes, they will be inspired to think about their financial situation and open or contribute to a Path2College 529 Plan."

The 2011 winner was born at Northside Hospital in Atlanta; the 2012 winner was born at Doctors Hospital in Augusta; and the 2013 winner will be announced soon.

For more information about the Path2College 529 Plan or to enter the 2014 Newborn Sweepstakes, visit www.Path2College.com or call (877) 424-4377.
