Bookmobile visits TSYS in downtown Columbus

A library on wheels is providing entertainment and education to students across the Chattahoochee Valley.

The Bookmobile made a special trip to the Total System (TSYS) campus in downtown Columbus on Tuesday, July 8.

Children of TSYS employees got to interact with Muscogee County Superintendent David Lewis, and pick out books to read.

Lewis says experiences like this encourage students to further develop their education.

"It's important for me to come out and remain grounded in what we do, and see what we do every day, and how it benefits the children here in our district," Lewis says. "It's really a great opportunity for me to get out and really enjoy them, and enjoy encouraging them to read."

The Bookmobile has several more stops to make this summer. On Wednesday, July 9, it will be traveling to Generations Child Care, Western Georgia Regional Hospital, and the Fountain City Care Center.
