Study: Teens spend too much time staring at screens

New government statistics show only 27 percent of kids ages 12 to 15 meet the recommended limit of two hours or less of TV plus computer use daily.

Just less than two percent reported no daily TV viewing, and 9 percent reported no computer use.

Excessive screen time behaviors have been linked to high blood pressure and obesity.

Japan is even trying to ban teens from using smartphones after 10 p.m.
