BRPD searching for suspect in fatal shooting on Wenonah St.

Tajh Harris Tajh Harris
BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Baton Rouge Police are searching for the man they say may be responsible for a deadly shooting that took place early Saturday morning.

Around 2:00 am, officers were working traffic control around the 2600 block of Plank Road when gunshots were heard.  They later found the scene at 2600 Wenonah Street where Javontia Davis, 24, was lying in the street.  He had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators believe that a verbal argument between Davis, Tajh Harris, 21, and several others led to the shooting.  Harris has been known to frequent the Tigerland area and maybe occupying an older model tan or brown Toyota Camry.

If anyone has any information on the whereabouts of Tajh Harris you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 344-STOP.
