Alabama man dies in ATV accident

Antonio Farrow, 37, from Wetumpka, Ala. died is a single-vehicle accident when the four-wheel ATV he was operating left the road and struck a tree.

The crash occurred at 7:42 p.m. on Monday, July 14, on Elmore County 348, eight miles north of Wetumpka.

Officials say Farrow was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

The Alabama Department of Public Safety is reminding the public that ATVs are designed for off-road conditions, and not the pavement. They urge ATV operators to get trained, wear a helmet, do not allow children on adult ATV's, never ride tandem, stay off of the pavement and never ride under the influence.

Alabama State Troopers are still investigating the accident.
