COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

CPD Vice Captain Gil Slouchick tells News Leader 9 that three people have been arrested as a result of Columbus Police Department Special Operations Unit serving a search warrant at 3642 Sutton Drive on Tuesday, July 15.

The three suspects appeared in Recorder's Court the next day. Carolyn Blackburn posted $2,000 bond without appearing in court. Jay Blackburn was given a $17,000 bond, and Lillian Burkett Dion was given a $6,000 bond.

Carolyn Blackburn has been arrested and charged with violation of Georgia Controlled Substance schedule II meth, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, possession of drug related object.

Jay Blackburn was arrested and charged with violation of Georgia Controlled Substance Act, schedule II meth, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, possession of drug related object, violation of Georgia Controlled Substance Act schedule III steroids, and schedule IV clonazepam.

Lillian Burkett Dion was arrested and charged with possession of drug related object, violation of Georgia Controlled Substance Act schedule IV clonazepam.

The arrests result from an investigation that has been going on for several months.

The officer who was hospitalized in the process of serving the search warrant was treated and released at Midtown Medical Center. The officer had been overcome by exposure to fumes from chlorine and bleach.

A Columbus police officer was injured by chemical fumes while attempting to serve a search warrant to a home on Sutton Drive.

According to Vice Captain Slouchick, the officer was transported to the emergency room. The officer's identity has not yet been released.

A crew arrived to Sutton Drive at around 11 a.m. Tuesday morning to conduct a search in connection to an ongoing drug investigation.

Two adults inside the home were detained, but have not been arrested at this time. Their identities are unknown.
