2014 Ranger Hall of Fame induction ceremony

Ten Army Rangers were celebrated at the 2014 Ranger Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Wednesday, July 16.

The ceremony took place at the Maneuver Center of Excellence headquarters building, McGinnis-Wickam Hall, on Wednesday, July 16, at 1:30 p.m. in Marshall Auditorium.

The Rangers honored were LTG John Le Moyne, LTG Dell Dailey, BG Herbert Lloyd, COL Robert Guy, COL Robert Tonsetic, CSM James Fowler, CSM Jeffrey Greer, SGM Peter Bacerra, MSG Kenneth Bachmann and SSG Calvin Rollins.

"To tell you the truth, I knew of the Ranger Hall of Fame's existence, but I never expected to be nominated for this high honor," COL (Ret.) Robert Tonsetic told News Leader 9. "I'm overwhelmed by the occasion, and I'm a bit lost for words."

Since 1992, the Ranger Hall of Fame has recognized the contributions of America's most extraordinary Rangers. The Ranger Hall of Fame honors and preserves the spirit of America's finest Soldiers.

Inductees are selected impartially from Ranger units and associations, and represent each era of Ranger history.   To be eligible for nomination, a Soldier must be a successful graduate of the U.S. Army Ranger School; be deceased or separated or retired from active military service for at least three years, and he must have served in a Ranger unit in combat.

Photos and citations of the inductees will be preserved and displayed in the Ranger Hall of Fame located at the Airborne and Ranger Training Brigade headquarters in Harmony Church.
