Second Alabama ATV death in two days

A second person has died in Alabama as a result of afour-wheel ATV accident, and this time the victim is a minor.

On Tuesday, July 15, 15-year-old Tyler Lamar Knapp waskilled when the four-wheel ATV he was operating crashed. The accident occurredat 9:05 p.m. on Sank Town Rd. eight miles southwest of McIntosh, Ala.

Knapp's death comes only one day after 37-year-old AntonioFarrow was killed in a four-wheel ATV accident in Elmore County, Ala.  

The Alabama Department ofPublic Safety is reminding the public that ATVs are designed for off-roadconditions, and not the pavement. They urge ATV operators to get trained, weara helmet, do not allow children on adult ATV's, never ride tandem, stay off ofthe pavement and never ride under the influence.
