Montgomery police say a person who claimed to have witnessed a child abduction Thursday in a Montgomery neighborhood has recanted his statements.
Sgt. Denise Barnes with the Montgomery Police Department says police received a report of a missing girl at a home in the Dalraida area Thursday shortly after 2 p.m. When officers arrived they discovered the girl had returned home safely and was unharmed.
Police say a person in the area claimed to have seen the girl being abducted, but an investigation discredited that information. That person has since recanted his statements.
Montgomery police are still investigating where the juvenile was during her absence from home.
