The Alabama 8U Darlings won the 8 and under Dixie Darlings World Series Wednesday night in Bay St. Louis, MS.
Coach Mark Segrest says the team went into the championship game undefeated. They had to lose twice to lose the title.
The girls, mostly from the Tallassee area, lost the first game against Louisiana 10-2. They went on to beat Louisiana 10-0 in the second game.
Segrest says they will be returning home Thursday.
