2 teens charged in Ozark gun theft case

Police in Ozark have arrested two teens after an investigation connected them to the theft of guns and ammunition at local business.

According to a news release, investigators were called to process the crime scene of a local firearms business on July 4. A total of 19 firearms and ammunition were reported stolen from the business.

On July 30, investigators received information they say was beneficial to breaking the case.

18-year-old Jacobs Briar Shiver and 18-year-old Deondre Jermaine Howard were arrested and charged with burglary first degree, theft of property second degree and criminal mischief second degree.

Both were taken to the Dale County Jail where they are being held without bond.

The investigation is ongoing.
