GBI charges Thomaston man with Online Enticement of a Minor

A Thomaston, Ga. man has been arrested after authorities sayhe intentionally sought out sex with a minor.

According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, BenjaminCraig Standard, Jr. 35, of 230 Reid Place Rd. in Thomaston,  traveled to Macon, Ga. to meet and have sexwith someone he believed to be a 14-year-old girl. The arrest came after a twoweek investigation involving undercover "chatting" with Standard.

Standard was arrested on one charge of Online Enticement ofa Minor. He was taken to Bibb County Jail. He has since been released on an$11,000 bond, according to the jail's website.

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office assisted the GBI in thearrest.
