The suspect in an armed robbery at a gas station on Highway 231 in Ozark earlier this month was arrested in Georgia.

According to Ozark Police Chief Tony Spivey, Eric Lamont Eutsey was arrested by the U.S. Marshal Service and Savannah Georgia Metro Police and charged with robbery 1st degree. He will be extradited to Alabama.

Ozark police had been looking for Eutsey since the Aug. 1 armed robbery. Police publicly identified him as a suspect in the case, and said he should be considered "armed and dangerous."

The robbery happened around 7 p.m. at the Shell Station at the intersection of Highway 231 and Deese Road. Police say a male suspect approached the clerk and demanded money from the register.

The clerk complied with the demands, and the suspect fled the scene on foot, police say. The clerk was not injured.
