Bossier teams battle it out in Dixie World Series

BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) - Bossier City is hosting the Dixie boys World Series this month and two teams from Bossier are representing Louisiana.

On Tuesday night, the Bossier 14-year-olds faced North Carolina and beat then 12-8. The 13-year-old's faced Alabama and hadn't closed up that game as of the time this story ran.

On Monday night, the 14-year-olds team faced the team from Mississippi that won it all last year. Bossier was down 2-nothing early but would respond quick in the first inning and defeat Hattiesburg 13-8.

The 13-year-olds team didn't have any trouble with team Louisiana picking up the 13-3 victory. Caleb Reese and Jathon Patton hit back to back homers that helped them move on to the next round.
