It's back-to-school time and the team at Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama is donating supplies that many students will need as they head back to class.
Tuesday, HMMA presented $7,000 worth of school supplies bound for needy children to the Montgomery Public School System and Partners in Education.
During the past three weeks, team members visited local retail stores to purchase enough school supplies to fill 350 backpacks for children who attend classes in the Montgomery Public School System.
This is the third year in which Hyundai stepped up to host the Pack-A-Backpack campaign. The backpacks are filled with things like a ream of copy paper, pencils, crayons, glue sticks, sanitizer and other items.
The Montgomery Public School System and Partners in Education will take the filled backpacks and coordinate the distribution of the supplies to local students.
