KSLA News 12 Editorial: August 6- Cheating

Cheating in school is never acceptable. Not by students or by school administrators.

But right now there is an investigation underway in Caddo Parish into allegations that some students grades were altered.

The current investigation centers around Booker T. Washington School in Shreveport. Why change the grades? Altering grades could make the schools performance appear better than it is.

Again, at this point, these are only allegations. School Superintendent Lamar Goree is taking the lead on this. He says he will not tolerate cheating in any form. School officials understand the integrity of the entire school system is on the line. We look forward to a complete investigation. I'm James Smith.
