AUBURN, AL (WTVM) -

On August 6, 2014, the Auburn Police Division arrested 40-year-old Edith C. Bowman and 46-year-old Reginal D. Riggins, both from Vincent, Ala., on felony warrants charging them each with second degree theft of property.

At approximately 7:42 p.m. Auburn Police responded to a shoplifting complaint at a business located in the 1600 Block of Opelika Road.

When officers arrived on the scene they were informed that two individuals, later identified as Bowman and Riggins, were observed in the store taking clothing items and concealing them. They both subsequently proceeded to exit the store without paying for the property and were contacted and detained by Loss Prevention Officers until police arrived.

All of the property, valued at $1,700 was recovered by police and returned to the business.

Bowman and Riggins were transported to the Lee County Detention Facility where their bonds were set at $3,000 each.
