COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - It's perfect weather to get a sweet treat for a good cause!
Thursday is the eighth annual Miracle Treat Day in Columbus.
When you buy a Blizzard from Dairy Queen, proceeds go to the Children's Miracle Network at Midtown Medical Center.
Miss Georgia Maggie Bridges stopped by the Dairy Queen on Macon Road on Thursday, then we caught her serving up Blizzards to young patients at the Medical Center.
"Children's Miracle Network is such an important part of the community, especially even in Columbus at the Columbus Regional hospital," Bridges said. "It holds a lot of importance because it's a fundraiser and an awesome way to give back and you get a tasty treat at the end of the day."
This is the eighth annual Miracle Treat Day here in Columbus.
The Children's Miracle Network at Midtown Medical Center was established in 1995 and has raised more than $7 million.
