Ray of Hope Raffle benefits local Columbus charity

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

More than 200 people came out to a raffle party at Green Island Country Club in Columbus tonight, August 14, all to show their support for a local charity.

This is video of tonight's third annual Ray of Hope Raffle. During the event, $100 raffle tickets were sold for a chance to win $10,000. All the money raised by the fundraiser went to benefit the family center.

Lisa Scrivner, the CEO of The Family Center, says since this annual fundraiser got its start, it has been a huge success, "It is one of our two fundraisers that we have to support our youth program. This is 3rd year we are doing it so we continue build on that success and we are really thankful for the community support."

There were two winning tickets drawn in tonight's raffle. Doctor Bobby Malone and Harry Tinsley will split the $10,000 prize.
