Boys & Girls Club offers students after school program

Third grader starts no bully zone campaign after seeing bullies in action

(WTVM) - The Boys and Girls Club of the Chattahoochee Valley wants you to know about a program they are working on.

The Great Futures Campaign reaches millions of children across the nation who go home without anything to do after school. It helps fill the 3 to 7 p.m. time gap where children are most likely to get in trouble.

Boys and Girls Club President Rodney Close says their year-round program helps 1,000 kids a day in five locations across the valley year-round after school

"We're able to provide that safe haven, that atmosphere that provides academic enrichment programs," Close said.

Close says they offer a number of after school programs including homework, technology, health, and character development.

They do this to make sure students are healthy, well-educated, employable and ready for post-secondary education.
