David Lewis takes Ice Bucket Challenge, encourages seniors to do the same

Superintendent David Lewis takes the Ice Bucket Challenge!

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Another community leader accepted the ice bucket challenge.

This time, it was Muscogee County Superintendent David Lewis, and he had a big challenge for students.

"I am going to challenge the senior classes of all the Muscogee County High Schools. I'm sorry, the senior class, but primarily the senior class officers," Lewis announced seconds before he was doused with ice water.

After drying off, we asked Lewis why he decided to challenge all the Muscogee County seniors.

"Well because I think it's time to get our kids involved in these kinds of initiatives and I think our seniors can show leadership throughout their schools," Lewis explained. "So hopefully the senior class officers and hopefully the senior class as well will take the challenge."
