COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Two teenage suspects are in custody after a string of business burglaries across Columbus over past few days, according to Sgt. Joseph Weatherford with the Columbus Police Department.

Weatherford says a Columbus patrolman noticed a dark blue Chevy Impala pull up to the Dollar General on Warm Springs Rd. around 2 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 21. He was aware that several suspects of similar description in a dark colored sedan had reportedly just burglarized the Dollar Tree on Airport Thruway.

Based on this information, the patrolman entered the shopping center in attempts to investigate. Three suspects then fled in the vehicle.

A pursuit ensued, and the suspects were apprehended on Snellings Dr. on the east end of Columbus.
