(WTVM) - Small Business Week kicked off Monday in Muscogee County, giving business owners the chance to mingle and expand their companies.
Today's kickoff celebration was at the CB&T main office in Columbus. It starts off a week of activities aimed at letting the community know more about the small, locally owned businesses in the area.
The week is sponsored by the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce. Colby Cardin with CB&T says this is a great way to show the different businesses that are around town.
"Businesses span everything from musicians all the way to people who cut down trees in yards to a wide variety of businesses from all over," Cardin explained.
On Tuesday, the Chamber of Commerce kicks off the new 'Go Local' program which is dedicated to promoting local business.
