Mayor to host Stop the Violence rally this Sunday

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - There were four homicides in a matter of three days last week.

Columbus is now at 19 homicides for the year, according to the Muscogee County Coroner's Office.

In the aftermath of a violent week, Mayor Teresa Tomlinson will be leading "Stop the Violence Memorial Service" this Sunday, Aug. 31.

It will be held at the Columbus Civic Center at 1:30 p.m.
