Hwy Patrol in full force Labor Day weekend

PHOENIX (CBS5) -

There is expected to be more Highway Patrol officers across Arizona this coming weekend to crack down on drunken drivers.

In addition to the saturation patrols, there will be additional officers to nab speeders.

The Highway Patrol will also be joining DPS, ADOT and multiple fire departments are part of the Safety Corridor along Interstate 17 between Black Canyon City and Cordes Junction. They'll be responding to crashes or car troubles to prevent incidents from impacting traffic.

In the east and west Valley, officers will be focusing on DUI offenders and drivers who are speeding.

The southern patrol bureau will be along a 10-mile stretch to catch violators.
