Auburn police search for convenience store robbery suspects

AUBURN, AL (WTVM) -

The Auburn Police Division is currently investigating a robbery that occurred Monday, Sept. 1 at a convenience store located in the 1800 block of West Longleaf Drive. 

At approximately 11:16 p.m. police responded to a robbery call at the business. When officers arrived they were informed that two individuals entered the business armed with guns and demanded money. 

The suspects fled the business on foot with an undetermined amount of U.S. currency. The store clerk received minor injuries during the incident and was treated at EAMC and released.

The suspects committing the robbery were captured on video surveillance camera, and they both appear to be black males, late teens to early 30s and average build. One of the suspects was last seen wearing dark colored pants and a hoodie jacket. The second suspect was wearing camo colored pants, royal blue jacket with stripes on the sleeves and white tennis shoes. 

The Auburn Police Division Detective Section is investigating the case and is asking for the public's assistance in identifying the suspects.
