COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - People across the valley are taking a pledge to stay safe on the roads by never drinking and driving.
Friday, Sept. 19 was "Global Be Responsible Day" and employees with a local Budweiser distributor are working to pass on the message to always designate a driver.
At Friday's Uptown Concert in Columbus, people signed up to take a pledge to always use a designated driver when drinking.
"We're just promoting our message in every bottle, which is designate a driver and enjoy the great times," explained Kylee Starnes, Marketing Director for B&B Beverage Company. "So we're just out doing some giveaways and trying to get people to sign up and take the pledge to be a designated driver."
Everyone who signed the pledge was entered to win a 10-person luxury suite at the Columbus Cottonmouths' home opening game or a dinner for two at Your Pie.
