Mobile service office for veterans in Eufaula on Tuesday

EUFAULA, AL (WTVM) -

One non-profit is working to help veterans in east Alabama get the benefits they deserve.

The Disabled American Veterans organization brought their mobile service office to the Sam's Club off Bent Creek Road in Auburn on Monday, Sept. 22.

The group will be at the Piggly Wiggly on South Eufaula Avenue on Tuesday, Sept. 22 in Eufaula from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Central Standard Time.

On Monday, they were able to help nearly 50 veterans answer questions about filing disability claims.

"We have so many veterans in this area and surrounding areas that need help with their claims and that is why we're going to them, setting up a mobile unity like today at Sam's to be able to help these people," said Wilbert Payne, DAV Chapter 95 Treasurer.

All services are free to veterans and their family members.
