(WTVM) - One local group wants to prove that prayer isn't only beneficial for kids; it's good for grown-ups too.
Pray 431, a prayer movement group, gathered in Columbus and Phenix City on Wednesday, Sept. 24 to observe "See You at the Pole," a national observance of prayer usually for kids.
Organizers say this is their first gathering for adults and they plan to make it an annual tradition.
"People coming together in unity and praying and seeking God, the Lord knows we need help our country needs help, our city our state, our nation needs help," said Pastor Jimmy Hobbs from Bethany Baptist Church.
Adults gathered at the War Memorial in Phenix City and the city center in Columbus. Pastor Hobbs says more than 3 million students gather for "See You at the Pole" each year.
