COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Uptown Columbus is bringing back its 5th Annual Beer and Wine Festival this weekend on Broadway.

Each year, organizers of the event hope to bring more tastes and more entertainment for visitors.

Hundreds are expected to fill Uptown on Saturday to take part in the food, fun, and spirits provided by dozens of vendors... but the beer and wine are the only things to indulge in.

We're told there are enough events happening this weekend for everyone to be involved.

"Events like all of the events, the Beer and Wine Festival and all of the free events are great for the community," said Elizabeth Hurst, VP of Community Relations and Marketing for Uptown Columbus. "Downtown is the heart of the community so events like our beer and wine festival  and our free Friday night concerts bring families out to the community gives them a chance to shop in the stores, eat at the restaurants and be in their downtown and interact with the members of the community."

The festival will take place Saturday, Sept. 27 from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Uptown Tap. Tickets may be purchased at this link
