Aflac promotes first African American woman to president

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Aflac is making some changes to its leadership. The company recently appointed Teresa L. White as its first African American woman as the president of its U.S. operations.

White previously held the title of chief operating officer. She will be reporting to Kenneth Janke, who will move to the executive vice president position.

Aflac's chief executive officer, Dan Amos, says their influence will help the company moving into the future.
