Columbus Airport receives government grant

Could a new airline soon be coming to the Columbus Airport? That's what officials are hoping now that the airport has received a $750,000 grant from the government.

The airport commission was selected for the small community air service development grant. The grant will provide $750,000 to contribute to marketing support officials say they will specifically look at trying to recruit another airline to Columbus.

The program is designed to help small communities address air service and airfare issues.  The Columbus Airport commission was one of 16 recipients that competed for 7 million in available grant funding.
