COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Most of us know the importance of staying healthy and eating right.
In fact, a group of young people got lessons on both recently from our men and women in uniform.
Volunteers from Fort Benning's 3rd Brigade spent an afternoon with kids at the Chattahoochee Boys and Girls Club in Columbus. The soldiers were there to remind students about the benefits of physical fitness. They put them through a mock physical training test, doing push-ups, sit-ups and jumping rope.
The kids say they loved spending time with the soldiers, and the troops got a chance to see what it's like to be young again.
