COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - U.S. Senate candidate Michelle Nunn stopped by Columbus State University on Thursday, Oct. 2.
Nunn toured the campus this morning and met with students in leadership roles. She also spoke with faculty and staff about the importance of a strong supportive education system.
"We want to make sure that everybody knows that there is a big contrast in this election," Nunn said. "There's a real opportunity for folks to make a difference on issues that they care about whether that's jobs and opportunity and education or fiscal stewardship."
Democratic candidate Nunn will face Republican David Perdue in the upcoming November election.
It is one of the most closely watched races in the country as Republicans look to gain control of the Senate.
