AU student recognized in congressional record

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - An Auburn University student now has her name in the congressional record in Washington D.C.

U.S. Representative Mike Rogers presented Carol Linde with remarks in the congressional record on October 7.

Linde, a native of Delaware, is a senior majoring in political science and psychology and this year's recipient of Auburn's Political Science Leadership Award.

Linde has worked as a peer instructor for first-year students in the honors college. Beyond campus, she has assisted with the east Alabama food bank and local preschools' head start programs.

"I am just passionate about everything, so I end up making time. I get involved with one thing and its just so awesome and then there is another opportunity," says Linde.

"It talks about her adventurous spirit and that's leadership. That shows initiative to take the lead and do whatever she feels strongly about," says U.S. Representative Mike Rogers.

Linde will graduate from Auburn University in May 2015. She says her next adventure will be teaching English overseas.
