Exclusive interview with Aflac's new president

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

One of the country's most influential women in business and the new president of Aflac U.S. - Teresa L. White spoke exclusively with News Leader Nine's Barbara Gauthier.

In one of her first interviews since her promotion, she shared her vision for leading the supplemental insurance giant and her tips for balancing career and family.

As the first woman and first African American to hold the position of president of Aflac U.S., White knows the world will be watching and she is ready for the challenge.

"It's an honor... an honor as a woman to be asked to head a fortune 200 company and I just thought it was a great honor for me," says White.

As president of Aflac U.S., she will also oversee Aflac group operations in Columbia, South Carolina. She was also recently named one of the 25 most influential black women in business by Network Journal magazine.
