COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - There was a packed house on Tuesday night to discuss some important issues in our community as the first media roundtable was held by the Columbus Metro Association of Black Journalists, or CMABJ.
The town hall meeting was held at Columbus State University.
Local and national journalists gave their views on media coverage of the police involved shooting in Ferguson, MO and the NFL's handling of the Ray Rice domestic violence case and how these stories impact us here at home.
News Leader 9's Barbara Gauthier had the honor of being part of the panel.
The goal of the meeting was to spur conversation about ways to make positive changes in our community.
