COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  If you've ever thought about becoming a model, you will have an opportunity to make that a dream a reality.

The Exotica Modeling Agency will conduct a model search for perspective models on Nov. 15 at the Hampton Inn, located at 5585 Whitesville Road. Ages 3-14 will be seen from 9 a.m. to noon, and ages 15 and older will be seen from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

There is no fee for this event.

Exotica is owned by Americus native Angela Jackson Engram, who realized a dream a few years ago when she created the agency.  Engram said she competed in a few pageants growing up and has always been fascinated with the modeling business.

"We have signed a few models already from the Columbus-Opelika area, and we want to continue adding to our roster," Engram said. "People usually only think of runway models when they think of modeling, but models are needed in many other areas, such as print ads, commercials and much more.  Exotica's goal is to provide models in these niche markets and maximize other opportunities for our models."

Exotica is based in Atlanta, but Engram says that there is talent throughout Georgia, and it was important to have a model search in her native Southwest Georgia.

"I was born and raised in Americus, and Dede Carlisle, our Chief Marketing Officer, is a native of Columbus, so we are very familiar with Southwest Georgia and East Alabama," Engram said. "We know there is a lot of talent in this area and we look forward to seeing what Columbus and surrounding areas have to offer.  Now is your time to shine!"

According to Engram, Exotica's philosophy is to provide high quality representation for its models and superior customer service to their clients.

"Exotica is growing very fast, and we want to be able to attract talent from all over the state, and this area definitely is a good place to visit," Engram said. "We look forward to having a large crowd and it doesn't matter what your race, age or nationality. If you have a passion for modeling, we want to see you there!"

Females are asked to wear fitted jeans or leggings, fitted top and heels; no wedge heels.  Hair should be pulled away from face, and no makeup or jewelry.  Males are asked to wear jeans, a fitted top and hard bottom shoes; no sneakers. Children are just asked to dress comfortably.
