BURLINGTON, NC (WGHP) - A native of Columbus, GA, Alan Martin saved over $1,000 while using Olive Garden's never ending pasta pass.
Olive Garden's general manager Chris Lambert says a never ending pasta bowl meal usually costs $9.99.
"Alan Martin got his money's worth," Lambert said.
Martin spent $100 on the pasta bowl pass and it quickly paid for itself. So far, he has eaten at Olive Garden 95 times in six weeks. His plan was to use his pasta bowl pass every day, twice a day, for seven weeks until the promotion ends.
"I can't believe I get to eat like this every day," Martin said.
Church minister and father of two, Alan Martin, is one of the 1,000 people in the country to buy Olive Garden's never ending pasta bowl pass.
"I would love to be the person that ate the most of the 1,000 people. Because that means I got the most value out of the card than anybody did in the United States," Martin said.
Martin has not gained any weight and he is not sick of eating pasta yet.
"Give me seven more days, and I'll be ready maybe for a big burger, pizza, I don't know," Martin said.
The never ending pasta bowl promotion ends Sunday and Alan Martin plans to drive to the five Olive Garden locations between Burlington and Charlotte NC as well as eat at five Olive Gardens in Charlotte, NC on the last day.
