COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Muscogee County Sheriff Deputies arrested 61-year-old Willie Boddie on Friday April 17.
The area around Martin Luther King Blvd. in Columbus is the last known location 61-year-old Willie Boddie was spotted. Wanted for probation violation, Boddie according to police was no stranger to crime.
"A lot of his past charges were robbery simple battery, possession of drug related objects," says Deputy Jeffrey Hackey with the Muscogee County Sheriff's Department. "As a matter of fact, he was arrested on a family violence charge last year, in August of last year."
Deputy Hackey says Boddie stands 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 150 pounds. When his mug shot was taken, Boddie was sporting a grey and black goatee. Police say he may have shaved that off to try and hide his identity.
"Anybody who is wanted by the police, seeing as how we are not some of the most well-liked people in the world as it is, there's no telling what they would do to keep from going back to jail, so it's best to call in the sight people and let us come out there and handle it," Hackey advised.
