(WTVM) - For eight years, WTVM has organized and supported "Share Your Thanks by Giving," our annual effort to help address hunger in our community.
Our partners this year are Leisure Lifestyles and Winn-Dixie supermarkets, who are leading the way to support Feeding the Valley, one of our area's most important charities.

I hope you will join us by bringing canned goods and other non-perishable foods to Leisure Lifestyles on Veterans Parkway or, while shopping in Winn-Dixie, buy a few extra items and toss them in these specially marked bins.

Thanksgiving is such a wonderful time for most of us, but we can never forget that too many families – one in five, according to Feeding the Valley – don't have enough food to feed their families.
Thanksgiving is a time of abundance in many of our homes. With so many food choices, we can feel full just thinking about it.
That's why we urge you to remember the 85,000 people that Feeding the Valley serves in 13 counties across west central Georgia as well as one county in Alabama.
These neighbors of ours are struggling. So please share your thanks by giving with us.
The hungry deserve a holiday of abundance, too.
