AUBURN, AL (WTVM) - On Wednesday, Dec. 3 the Auburn Police Division arrested 23-year-old Marqerious L. Canada from Waverly on a felony warrant charging him with attempted murder.
The Auburn Police Division is currently investigating three incidents of shooting into a dwelling and/or vehicle that occurred between Nov. 29 and Dec. 2.
Canada was arrested after he was developed as a suspect in an incident that occurred on Nov. 30 at a residence in the 400 block of Webster Road.
On this occasion an officer patrolling the area heard gun fire as Auburn 911 Communications also received a call of "shots being fired" at a residence in the area.
Responding officers located the residence and discovered it had been struck by gun fire and damaged; no injuries were reported.
After being sought by Detectives, Canada turned himself in at the Auburn Police Division on this date and was transported to the Lee County Jail where he will be eligible for a $75,000 bond.
The Investigation into these cases, which are believed to be related, is ongoing by the Auburn Police Division; additional arrests are expected.
