COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Columbus Mayor Teresa Tomlinson along with other city leaders met with members of the state legislative delegation Friday for the annual Hometown Connection Agenda Meeting.
The purpose of the meeting is to have a meaningful discussion on where the city revenue comes from and where it goes. Columbus city manager Isaiah Hugley says part of the goal was to strengthen communication between local and state officials.
"We want to connect those persons in our community representing our city Georgia General Assembly to our local legislator and city counselors and get them familiar with staff and get the familiar with the challenges we have," Hugley said.
Information was also shared on ongoing quality of life and infrastructure projects aimed at making Columbus better.
