Warrior Outreach to donate Christmas gift baskets to military families

FORT BENNING, GA (WTVM) - More than 40 toys were donated and wrapped and 60 holiday gift baskets were stuffed with food, cookies and other goodies during the Warrior Outreach's "Toys for Vets" and "Gift Baskets for Vets" programs over the weekend.

The families will arrive at the Warrior Outreach Ranch on Dec. 13 between 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. to pick up their gifts.  More than 65 families have been helped this year for Christmas with more coming applications in daily.

Warrior Outreach would like to give special thanks to Tania Philpot, Valley Hospitality, Cannon Brew Club, and Atlanta USO for their help in these projects, as well as volunteers from the 1-46th Infantry Family Readiness Group and soldiers also gave their time to make these programs a success.

They would also like to send a big thanks to retired CSM James Dale, who drove down from Huntsville to participate in the Warrior Outreach Golf Scramble and assist with the final wrapping and preparation.
