News Leader 9's Jason Dennis got to play some basketball for a good cause Thursday night at the Hughston Superstar Holiday Classic.
The five-on-five full-court basketball game at the Northside High School arena was very competitive, between local TV and radio personalities, doctors, and community leaders.
Jason's red team barely won 20-19, in overtime. He scored six points.
Tickets for this event were five to seven dollars and all the proceeds are going to the local United Way.
"We've done raffles and baskets in the past, we thought why not just have a big event, raise that money, and give it to the united way, and have fun doing it," says Jennifer Tovey, the Hughston Clinic's marketing coordinator.
