Bi-City Christmas parade spreads holiday joy

COLUMBUS, GA/PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) - The Christmas parade marched through Columbus and Phenix City Saturday morning spreading holiday joy throughout the cities.

There were more than 150 cars and floats that rolled across the Horace King Friendship Bridge.

The Bi-City Christmas parade was packed with spectators from the beginning of Phenix City to the end of Broadway in Columbus.

Every type of parade vehicle and float was represented including fire trucks, antique cars, military vehicles and clowns on motorcycles.

There were even stars of many Super Bowl commercials who made an appearance for the parade's grand finale along with eight Clydesdale horses who pulled the red Budweiser wagon across the city.

With less than two weeks until Christmas it is the perfect reason for communities across the state lines to come together and set the tone for the holiday season.
