(WTVM) – An illegal moonshine still in Barbour County was found in a wooded area near US-82 about five miles outside of Eufaula.
Agents with the Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board found the moonshine making operation on Monday, after a week of searching the area.
They destroyed the 16-barrel operation, including the cookers. The cooking operation was being fed from the nearby creek.
Agents also seized and destroyed 45 gallons of moonshine located at the site.
Nobody was working the still when agents found it and so far no arrests have been made.
We are told the case is still under investigation.
