COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - A man wanted for a murder last fall was extradited to Columbus from California on Tuesday, Jan. 20.
The Columbus Police Department said Kevin Henderson, 20, is due in Recorder's Court on Friday, Jan. 23 at 9 a.m.
Officials say Henderson is suspected in the shooting death of Chad Herring, 32, in November 2014. Herring was shot in the head and found slumped over in the front seat of a car on Roosevelt Street, officials say.
Henderson faces charges for murder, aggravated assault, and armed robbery. He was arrested by San Diego officers on Friday, Jan. 2 after they discovered he was wanted through the National Crime Information Center (NCIC).
